Good Friends Matching

Sometimes we all need some extra support, whether it’s light tasks around the home you’ve started finding more difficult, or even just somebody to talk to.

Good Friends is all about helping make connections between people in need with nearby volunteers to make lives easier, more manageable and ensuring everyone has a network of support around them to stay well and independent.

Our service does the following:

  • Matches you with someone nearby, based on your needs and interests.
  • Makes an initial introductions where needed to ensure you’re both happy.
  • Keeps in touch for updates on how you’re progressing and what else we can help you with.
  • Provides support, when needed, in other areas of your life such as general advice around benefits and housing, information about activities in your area, and signposting to other services.

We make sure you come first, and that the support you receive is useful to you.
